Turning AI + 3D into Real Business Value

  • Digitalization, Sustainability, and Efficiency

  • 3D & AI as strategic pillars for the fashion industry

  • Collaboration driving transformation across the entire value chain

  • From abstract concepts to concrete, future-ready goals

Kashion is a fashion company providing incorporated services of sourcing & developingstyling design, merchandising and manufacturing.

Global fashion is undergoing an unprecedented transformation. Digitalization, sustainability, and efficiency are no longer abstract concepts but concrete goals that are reshaping the entire value chain. In this context, the collaboration between Kashion Industry Co., Ltd. — one of the leading ODM apparel suppliers for international brands — and Style3D | Assyst stands out as a prime example of how 3D and AI can become strategic pillars for the industry.

From Physical Sample to Digital Twin

Produced new digital designs yearly

Digitized patterns in 3D showroom

7,000+

Integrated online samples

15,000+

Kashion began its 3D journey in 2016 with the goal of cutting costs and shortening sample development times. The adoption of Style3D in 2020 accelerated this transformation, prompting a major overhaul of workflows and seamless integration with existing enterprise systems.

The results highlight the company’s strong foundation in 3D: more than 100,000 Style3D assets have been created; 10,000 new digital designs are produced each year for over 100 global clients; a 3D showroom featuring more than 7,000 digitized patterns is now accessible on mobile; and through the connection between Style3D and the Centric PLM system, Kashion manages over 15,000 online samples in an integrated way.

This shift has redefined the role of the physical sample—no longer essential, it now serves as a complementary resource, dramatically reducing both development time and cost.

Solving Industry Pain Points

Reduced sample development cycle

Increased design

sample output

4,700 ⮕ 9,600

Traditionally, developing a fashion collection has involved high costs for materials, logistics, and manpower, alongside long approval cycles and a low first-sample success rate. Added to this are the mounting demands from brands to lower prices and accelerate time-to-market, making it increasingly challenging for suppliers to keep up. With Style3D, however, Kashion has transformed these obstacles into opportunities.

By adopting digital solutions, the company has reduced the sample development cycle from five weeks to just three days, achieving a 90% first-sample adoption rate. This efficiency not only lowers operational costs but also allows Kashion to significantly increase its design sample output, growing from 4,700 pieces in 2019 to 9,600 pieces in 2024.

The combination of AI and 3D technology brings benefits both internally and externally. GPU-powered simulation and rendering enable faster 3D creation, more precise fitting, and more accurate production cost estimates for clients. At the same time, the integration of AI with 3D design helps Kashion’s designers develop collections at greater speed, working with both physical and digital assets to achieve highly realistic results—opening the door to delivery timelines as short as one month.

Workflow efficiency has also improved significantly in graphic design and validation. As Yelena, an artwork designer at Kashion, explains: “Before, we could only show clients a single pattern on a single fabric. Now we can generate thousands of combinations and collaborate directly online, complete with nesting estimation, which has greatly enhanced both precision and efficiency.”

Technology Integration and Training

By integrating the Style3D cloud with its PLM system, Kashion has created a unified working environment that not only lowers training costs but also boosts cross-team efficiency. In parallel, the company has collaborated with academic institutions to train 3D specialists, underscoring the fact that digitalization demands new skills and professional expertise. On the technical side, the development of a standardized avatar library—covering poses, measurements, and perspectives—together with a digitized fabric library of more than 70 tested and calibrated materials, has further improved the realism and precision of its virtual prototypes.

3D + AI: The Future is Already Here

3D has moved beyond being an experimental option and has become a core technology, standing on the same level as other widely used digital design tools. Through its collaboration with Style3D, Kashion has been able to stay at the forefront of innovation, strengthening its position as a competitive player in the rapidly digitalizing global market.

Looking ahead, the future shows a clear direction: 3D technology will see broader use in retail, from virtual try-on experiences to digital capsules and interactive showrooms. At the same time, its integration with AI will enable the creation of new collections, the optimization of customization, and deeper use of proprietary data. All of this will contribute to building a seamless digital ecosystem that links suppliers, brands, and consumers in a fast and unified flow.

A Replicable Success Story

Kashion’s experience shows that digitalization goes beyond internal efficiency, serving as a powerful driver of market growth and differentiation. By shortening development cycles, improving the accuracy of samples, expanding creative possibilities, and strengthening collaboration with brands, the company demonstrates how 3D + AI have made a new level of performance and innovation possible.
